Caring For Your Wheaten Terrier Puppy

Deanna Vasquez

If you have a Wheaten Terrier Poodle, then taking care of it should be high on your priority list. This kind of puppy is a great pet but like all dogs, they do require some attention to stay healthy and happy. If you are a brand new pet owner, you may be wondering how to keep your puppy happy.

The good news is that a Wheaten Terrier Poodle puppy is not hard to take care of as long as you know the basic steps for keeping your dog healthy. Here's a closer look at how to take care of your puppy.

Feeding Your Pet

Feeding your pet the right way is one of the basic steps for keeping them healthy. You can choose to feed your dog kibble or you can give them a raw food diet. You may also decide that you prefer to prepare food yourself for your pet.

When you first start feeding your pet as a puppy, it's a great time to observe their reactions to food. Dogs can have food sensitivity just like humans, and you need to be aware of them sooner rather than later. If you notice that your pet behaves strangely after eating certain foods, then you should consult your vet.

Grooming Your Pet

Be sure to inspect your dog's coat every day to see if you find any dirt or debris in it. If there is dirt and debris in your poodle's coat, it means that their hair will start to mat and tangle very quickly. Spray your dog's coat using some water or a spray detangler if it gets matted. You can use a brush to remove any dirt and debris that may be present.

Training Your Puppy

The next step in the process of taking care of your puppy is training them. You need to take the time to properly train your puppy or it can make your life with them a bit more tedious. They need to get basic obedience training to start with; you can watch videos or buy books to help you. You can start on your own, but you may need to get proper training for your puppy if you find it too tedious to do it yourself. This is an important part of your puppy's development that you cannot afford to bypass.

Once you know how to feed a groom and train your puppy. You are well on your way to having a happy and rewarding life with your puppy. Talk to a pet shop to learn more about Wheaten Terrier Poodles.

About Me
Protecting Your Pets

My husband’s mom absolutely adores playing with her pets. She currently has 2 dogs and 12 cats. Every day she spends at least two hours feeding and caring for her animals. My mother-in-law keeps a couple of her cats inside of her home. The rest of her animals aren’t allowed inside the house. However, this sweet lady always ensures they’re warm during the harsh winter months. Each of the canines have a spacious dog house to lounge in. At night, my mother-in-law places her cats in an old shed. Whenever one of her pets displays the signs of a potential illness, she immediately takes him or her to a nearby veterinarian. On this blog, I hope you will discover tips to help you protect your beloved pets from harm.
